Amity Construction was established by Dusty Delain in 2006. He is a licensed carpenter who is sincere, friendly, and cares about his trade.
Carpentry is an ever-advancing and evolving trade and Dusty is always advancing his skill set through training and dialog with his network of like-minded professionals.

Amity’s STORY

Dusty Delain moved to Victoria to attend high school at Maxwell International Baha’i School in 1994. He was a day student living with his aunt and uncle in Victoria, commuting every day to Shawnigan Lake for school. Growing up in Vancouver, Dusty quickly became attracted to Vancouver Island and thought he would be crazy to want to live anywhere else; so he stayed and started his life here as an Islander, eventually marrying and now raising two amazing daughters with his wife Laylee.

Amity Construction was started in 2006, growing roots within the Victoria community. First starting with home renovations, Amity has grown to include custom home construction as well. As someone who recognizes the importance of the pursuit of excellence through skilled labour, Dusty has long supported the development of skilled labour with the employment of registered apprentices.

Dusty is a Certified Residential Home Builder with his Federal Carpentry Red-Seal qualification. He has also registered and trained apprentices through Canada’s Red Seal (inter-provincial program) to become Red Seal carpenters themselves and in so doing becoming a Master Carpenter. His strengths lie in his ability to manage projects with a hands-on approach and meet client expectations through a keen eye for detail and a fierce commitment to professionalism.
